Dr. Jason Garlie graduated from the University Of Louisville School Of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at the Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Garlie has been in private practice at Metropolitan Heart and Vascular Institute since 2016.  He has a particular interest in treating patients with heart rhythms conditions like atrial fibrillation, SVT, and VT.

In his free time, Dr. Garlie enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, photography, hunting, and fishing.

Electrophysiology / Arrhythmia

Dr. Lin received his M.D. from the University of California at San Francisco, and then came to Minnesota to complete his internal medicine residency, cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology fellowships before joining MHVI in 2006.  He likes to educate patients and help them understand their heart rhythm conditions.  He believes in treating patients effectively to allow them active healthy lifestyles.  Dr. Lin specializes in device therapy and catheter ablation to treat atrial fibrillation and complex cardiac arrhythmias.

Electrophysiology / Arrhythmia

Dr. Nguyen received his M.D. from Louisiana State University of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency, cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology fellowships at the University of Minnesota, where he also received a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology. He joined private practice at Metropolitan Heart and Vascular Institute in 2009 and sees patients in consultations for heart disease and heart rhythm disorders.

Electrophysiology / Arrhythmia

Dr. Stephen Remole joined MHVI as an electrophysiologist in 1993 and is now one of four specialists at MHVI who see patients with complex heart rhythm disorders and syncope (repetitive fainting). He has a professional interest in high-risk and complex ablation therapy as well as lead extraction. He enjoys bringing together the empathy of listening with the technology of today to solve cardiovascular challenges.

Sarah received her nursing education from Clemson University in 2004 and she completed a Master of Science in Nursing at Vanderbilt University in 2012.  Sarah is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. She joined Metropolitan Cardiology in December of 2013 after working as a Nurse Practitioner at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN in Adult Heart Transplant.  She enjoys caring for all general cardiology patients and also has a special interest in heart failure and heart rhythm management.


In her free time, Sarah enjoys being outdoors, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and dog. 

Alyssa is originally from St. Paul, Minnesota. She completed her education at Alderson-Broaddus College in 1998. Prior to joining Metropolitan Heart and Vascular Institute in 2002, she worked with a private cardiology practice in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Alyssa sees patients in general cardiology and electrophysiology (heart rhythm disorders).
